No sound from speakers because speakers not connected to sound card
Cause:
Speakers not connected to the sound card.
Solution:
Connect jack on speaker wires to the output jack on the sound card located at the back of the computer.
1) Locate the sound card speaker jack on the computer.
NOTE: The sound card may have several different features that make it confusing to locate. The speaker jack looks like a headphone jack and may have a symbol over it that looks like sound waves coming from a half-circle. If the computer has a modem, it may be part of the sound card.
2) If the speakers are on, turn the power off and carefully plug the speaker cable into the sound card speaker jack.
3) Verify that the speaker cable is plugged into the speakers and turn the power to the speakers on.
